Hi, my name is Brooke! I have a degree in User Experience and Interactive Design. I chose this field because it combines two things I’ve always loved: creativity and problem solving.
Before discovering UX design, I was pursuing a degree in communications while taking general classes. Over time, I realized I wasn’t truly passionate about the direction I was heading, so I decided to reconsider my options. I started reflecting on what I genuinely enjoyed and where my interests and strengths aligned.
I’ve always been a creative person with hobbies like painting and drawing, and my art teacher even recognized my passion and proficiency with a scholarship. That experience encouraged me to start exploring careers in design.
When I discovered User Experience and Interactive Design, I realized it was exactly what I was looking for. I chose this path over graphic design because I was drawn to the idea of using design to solve real problems and improve people’s experiences.
Through my work, I’ve found that I especially enjoy concepting and exploring creative ways to approach challenges. UX design allows me to combine creativity with strategy, and I’m excited to start my career doing something I truly enjoy.
